Sometimes, we men want to let our masculinity run free, and the perfect way to do that is on a modern day steel horse; this Victory Vision cruiser.
Today we venture into the world of motorcycles. Some says that two wheels are bad, but they'd be wrong, because two wheels are actually excellent. You can either be strapped into a car and experience solitary confinement, or you can roam freely on nice back roads , hairs in the wind with some nice leather chaps.
Founded in 1997, Victory is an IOWA based division of Polaris Industries that is building motorcycles for people that are sick and tired of Harley-Davidson. Incidentally, all Victory bikes are powered by mighty V-Twin engines and are available in touring, sport-touring and cruiser configuration.
Today we are going to talk about the most interesting motorcycle made by Victory, the epic Vision.
Launched in 2007, the Vision lineup consist of two models with very distinct personalities.
The Vision street is aimed more at bikers club members, it features less equipment in a favor of a more pure and dramatic look.
The Vision Tour use all the same mechanical components with a passenger seat and a trunk to go on long trips.
In 2010, the Vision street became the vision 8-ball. 8-Ball is Victory's factory tuner, like BMW //M and AMG for Mercedes-Benz. The engine remains the same with 92hp, only 8 HP shy of 100.
With a starting price of $21,000, the Vision is not a cheap motorcycle, far from it, it is actually an high-end motorcycle. Check a few options and the price tag quickly go up to $30,000.
For that, you get exclusivity and freedom, and this exactly what motorcycles are about.
Summer is right around the corner and I encourage everyone to go out and ride a bike !

It's either a genius or a lazy person, perhaps both

Except the 8-ball isn't a tuner like //M or AMG?

If I had to buy something like this, it would be a Victory or a gold wing. Not a HD dresser.

I don't really like HD dressers either.
However, the Road King I do have (above) falls under the "touring" class along with the big Electra/Street/Road Glides.
Why don't I like dressers? It's the trunk. I hate the trunk.
Most of the time when it's just me, I don't want anything back there but the rear fender. I like big bags, but don't want some fiberglass box following me around everywhere. (Electra Glide Ultra Classic below)
When it comes time to ride with a passenger or need to carry luggage, I have a detachable backrest and a rack that I can tie a number of different bags onto when we travel.
If I had to chose between the Victory or the Honda, I would probably take the Honda. That Vision is just too weird looking for me. Not sure how it will age. I remember how well those 70s Windjammer fairings aged.
Back to the Gold Wing... Since I hate trunks, I would probably go for that Gold Wing F6B.
